TipsGlobal searchFor a global search across the whole database, enter a search term (or terms) and then click the search button. You can enter terms such as an author's name, part of a book title, etc. To do this type of search at any stage, use the Global option. Note: the searches use the exact terms you enter. Results page: after you have completed any search, the results are displayed on a Results page. You can click through to full details relating to the author and book. Diacritical marks: the searches are sensitive to exact characters and if your search includes diacritical marks (such as: ä é ç õ ê, etc.) you will need to include them in your search terms. Guided searchesTo look-up via keywords, author's last name, item title and years
Advanced searchThis search functions in a similar way to the Global Search (see above) but only searches in a specific catagory (also know as a field you select from the lists. Useful to limit your results and receive more specific results. Search PDF documentsTo search the content of any PDF document simply press Ctrl and F on your keyboard to open the search bar. |
